What advanced driving features can a Tarraco come with?

The Tarraco comes with an impressive line-up of features as standard, and they can also come with some more advanced driver features. Let's explore frequently asked questions around these advanced features.

What is an Adaptive Cruise Control with Speed Limiter

Seat’s Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Speed Limiter system intelligently and automatically adjusts the SUV / car’s speed based on the traffic in front of you based on your desired speed and distance from vehicles in front of you that you can set - without you needing to apply any pressure to the accelerator pedal yourself.

If the road in front of you is clear the ACC acts just like a standard cruise control system.

What is Seat’s Keyless Go - KESSY?

Seat’s Keyless Go - KESSY system is a remote keyless entry system that automatically starts & locks the car by the key only needing to be near 1.5 metres of the car - and not manually inserted into the car itself.

What is Seat’s Digital Cockpit?

Seat’s 10.2-inch Digital Cockpit gives you all the important information you require right in front of you to help to minimise disruption while you are driving. This consists of a TFT LCD Digital Cockpit display which can show you:

  • Driver assistant features - such as speed
  • SAT Nav maps and directions
  • and more

Electric parking brake including Autohold function

The Seat Tarraco’s Electric parking brake including Autohold function is an extension to the braking system.

This safety system stops the Tarraco from accidentally rolling away when standing still or moving off by allowing you to take the foot off the brake, and all 4 brakes stay in place until you move away.

This safety system also kicks in when your ABS system is activated by applying pressure to the brakes to help to keep the SUV under control.

What is the Tarraco’s Electronic Stability Control (ESC)?

The Tarraco’s Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system is a reactionary safety system which tries to prevent accidents from occurring from loss of control, especially on corners and bends.

It does this by having sensors placed in the wheels that detect when the car is losing control - sliding, rapid unexpected movements etc… - and applies slight pressure to the brakes to help to keep the vehicle in control.

This system can’t adjust for bad driving, or poor wear and tear on the car; however, it can help to assist you have the extra power and stability you need to avoid what would otherwise be an accident from occurring.

What is Exit assist, & roll over assist?

The Tarraco’s Exit assist and roll over assist system is another reactionary system that can come with the SUV. This feature alerts you as you are reversing out of places such as a car parking space, or your driveway, to any approaching vehicles you may not be able to see.

If the system thinks a collision is going to occur it can even stop the car to help to prevent it from occurring.

What are Rain sensing wipers?

The Tarraco’s Rain sensing wipers monitors the moisture on the front window screen and automatically enables the wiper blades for you to wipe away any water drops on the screen, without you needing to manually turn the wiper blades on.

What are Rear parking sensors?

The Tarraco’s Rear parking sensors monitors the distance of objects behind the SUV when you are reversing and alerts you when it thinks you could be close to colliding with an object.

What is a SEAT Drive Profile with a Driving Experience button?

The Tarraco’s SEAT Driving Profile with a Drive Experience button lets you adjust the vehicles driving mode. There are 3 modes available from the click of a button:

  • Eco
  • Normal
  • Sport

Each mode adjusts the car’s responsiveness in the engine, steering, engine sound and ambient lighting. For instance, when you enable Sport mode, some of the changes consist of a faster reaction time when the accelerator pedal is pressed; to name just one change that occurs in the car.

How do the Tarraco’s Separate daytime running lights with automatic headlight control work and what is the Coming Home lighting feature?

The Tarraco’s Separate daytime running light with automatic headlight control & Coming Home feature enables a separate light from your main head beams to be turned on while you are driving during the day. This makes you more visible to other motorists without needing the main headlights to be turned on. These are turned on when the engine starts.

So what are the Coming Home lights?
When you get out of your car and lock it, the main headlights stay on for around 2 minutes. This gives you extra time to see your surroundings in the dark, to avoid tripping on objects you may not otherwise see, and to give you time to see and unlock your front door.

How does the Tarraco’s Tiredness recognition system work?

The Tarraco’s Tiredness recognition system monitors your driving and notices when odd things in your driving occur in real time - such as erratic steering, quick lane changes and many more.

The tiredness system will then alert the driver with an audible sound and visual notice on the dashboard. If the driver then hasn’t taken a break this will repeat every 15 minutes until they have.

How does the Tarraco’s Tyre pressure monitor work?

The Tarraco’s Tyre pressure monitors are sensors in the tyres that monitor the individual tyre pressures and alerts you when these are becoming low and need to be topped up.

Seat Tarraco’s Towing Capacity, what can it tow?

The Seat Tarraco can tow between 2,000Kg - 2,400Kg depending on the model you have. At the low end this should be enough to carry a 16-foot caravan fully ladened. At the high end, an 18-foot caravan should be able to be carried with ease.

That said, we would always advise you to check your owners guide, and match up the weight of the trailer, horse box, caravan etc. that you want to tow, prior to setting off.

Where is the Seat Tarraca made and manufactured?

The Tarraco is made in the Wolfsburg Volkswagen Plant in Germany.

Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions.
