We are recruiting for a Level 2/3 Vehicle Technician to join our team.
This position is within a busy and reputable dealer franchise garage working with a strong reputation, so we are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail. You will be provided with full franchise training.
The right individual will be confident and professional in their approach while maintaining high standards and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Through the use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor when required.
Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty and requirements.
Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
Work with other workshop and colleagues to provide excellent customer service. Share best practice when appropriate.
Accurately complete job cards and DISS reports, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.
Experience Required:
  • Qualified level 2 or 3 Vehicle Technician
  • Experience working within a workshop
  • Must hold full UK driving license
Desirable Experience (not required):
  • Ideally VOSA qualified but training can be provided for the right person
  • Experience with Kia vehicles & an understanding of Kia Manufacturer CSI would be beneficial

Different lenders pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.
