Are you worried that your MOT will expire during lockdown and you won't be able to drive your car afterwards? Don't worry, the DVLA has announced measures to extend MOTs, meaning you can stay home and worry about the MOT later.
We've answered all of your Coronavirus related MOT questions below.
The DVLA have announced a six month extension to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, which means you don't have to do anything just yet!

Our waiting list is filling up fast, so get in touch with us today and we will contact you as soon as we open to reserve your MOT date.
Unfortunately, the six month extension does not apply to vehicles with an MOT due before 30th March 2020. If you have not yet got and MOT for your car, you will need to do so as soon as possible.
The Department for Transport is working with insurers to make sure you are not unfairly penalised for not being able to get an MOT due to the lockdown or being in self-isolation.
As we are closed, we cannot MOT your vehicle at this time. There are many other garages still open and able to MOT your vehicle, or if you'd prefer to come to us, email email@example.com with your details and let us know your MOT has expired. As soon as we reopen, we will work hard to make sure you're back on the road as soon as possible.
Your vehicle is also not eligible for an extension and you will need to get an MOT before you drive it again.
Other garages are still open if you think you will need your vehicle during lockdown, or you can email your details to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help you get back on the road as soon as we are open.
Remember, during lockdown, the only valid reasons for using your car are:
Don't panic! You are still eligible for the six month MOT extension. Email email@example.com to be added to our waiting list.
