We understand that the closure of dealerships due to the COVID-19 lockdown could be worrying for Motability customers, who are tied to leases with specific requirements. It may also affect people hoping to join the Motability scheme.

Hopefully, these FAQs will ease your mind, so you can continue to stay safe and we look forward to seeing you in the future.

We've answered all of your Coronavirus related MOT questions below.

There's no need to panic. The fabulous team at Motability have announced a six month extension to customers who are approaching the end of their lease during this uncertain time. 

You don't need to do anything, and if this applies to you, Motability will send you a temporary cover note to cover this time. 

Once we reopen, we would love to see you to help renew your lease. Just fill out your details here and we'll be in touch to secure you an appointment as soon as we can. 

Unfortunately we are not able to handover your new car until it is safe for us to reopen the dealerships. However, you are also eligible for a six month extension on your Motability lease. 

Just like those with a lease due to expire, Motability will send you a temporary cover note until we are able to rearrange this for you. 

You will need to contact Motability on 0300 456 4566 to arrange this. 

No. If you have already paid your Advance Payment, then this is the price you will pay when we will are able to deliver your new car. 

Don't panic! The DVLA has granted a six month extension to MOTs due after 30th March 2020. You can read more about this in our Coronavirus MOT FAQ article.

  4. MOT due date
  5. Choice of dealership (Bumpers Farm or MRG Ford & Volvo)

You cannot currently apply for a new car on the Motability scheme. This will be lifted once the lockdown is over and our dealership reopens. If you'd like to send us your details, we'll give you a call to help you through this when we open our doors again!
