New Ford Focus Estate from Chippenham Motor Company in Wiltshire

The ideal car for a growing family, the new Ford Focus Estate offers a fun and comfortable driving experience for everyone on board. Proving that the estate car can easily hold its own against the best-equipped SUVs and MPVs, the new Ford Focus provides a whole range of technology.

The new Ford Focus Estate comes in a range of trims, from the entry-level Style to the sporty RS. A striking front profile includes a black grille trimmed with chrome and expansive headlamps. Stylish 16-inch five-spoke steel wheels and body-coloured door handles help to create an eye-catching profile, while chrome-finished roof rails are an attractive touch that offers extra possibilities for loading and unloading.

The new Ford Focus Estate can comfortably seat five people, all of whom will find lots of storage spaces in which to accommodate small items such as maps or other documents. The vehicle features a sizeable glove box, big door pockets and more. The 480-litre boot can also be expanded to over 1,500 litres, due to folding rear seats.

Engines and performance

There are a range of engines available for the new Ford Focus Estate. The 1.5-litre TDCi engine with six-speed manual transmission produces CO2 emissions as low as 88g/km and achieves an impressive 83.1mpg. The more powerful 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine with six-speed manual transmission is capable of 247bhp, while the 2.0-litre TDCi boasts a maximum torque of 400Nm. The new Ford Focus Estate owes much of its smooth handling and responsiveness to its Control Blade multi-link rear suspension system.

Safety and technology

A range of safety features are installed in the new Ford Focus Estate to keep you and your fellow travellers as safe as possible.

The Active City Stop system uses a windscreen-mounted sensor to scan the road ahead for potential hazards, such as braking vehicles, and applies the brake pressure automatically if necessary. The Lane Keeping Aid alerts you if you begin to unintentionally depart your lane but does not activate whenever you use your indicators. Driver Alert uses technologies that analyse road markings to predict the ideal progress of the vehicle. If there is any significant variance, Driver Alert will let you know.

Ford’s Key-Free System enables you to unlock and lock your car doors, even if your hands are full with shopping or luggage. As well as providing extra storage space, the centre console is where you will find a USB port which enables plug-and-play options for any of your compatible hand-held devices. With Ford’s SYNC 2 voice-activation system, you can control much of the vehicle’s technology, which allows you to keep your eyes on the road, and your hands on the wheel.
